Ambryn Melius

Ambryn currently serves as a therapist with children, teens, adults and families. She leads the Healing Motion Program – a trauma recovery group for adolescent girls, and Families Moving Forward program – a therapeutic group for children who have experienced sexual abuse and their non-offending parents.

Ambryn Melius (LPC, BC-DMT) integrates movement, dance, yoga and the creative process within her work, grounded in the belief that our bodies are a foundational tool within the healing process. With a degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago, Ambryn is a board-certified dance/movement therapist, a licensed professional counselor (LPCC), and a 200 hr-certified yoga teacher.

Ambryn is involved with in-home parenting, therapy, Families Moving Forward and Healing Motion. Ambryn’s research has focused on the phenomenon of vicarious trauma and its impacts on professionals within the trauma field.
