Mind-body healing techniques for girls affected by sexual abuse
Healing Motion is a group and skills-based holistic approach to healing. Healing Motion incorporates mind-body techniques such as mindfulness practices, yoga and movement therapies, creative arts and writing for girls and female-identified adolescent and teens, ages 13-20, who have experienced sexual abuse or assault. Our program complements traditional talk therapy by teaching skills to aid in addressing and incorporating the role of the body within healing.
The goals of Healing Motion are to help develop: self awareness, self respect, self control and self confidence within a community.
